Principal's Message
At the core of the middle school concept is the ideology that, during these formative years, students should have the opportunity to explore a variety of different interests. At Mill Creek Middle School, students' schedules include two periods each day during which time they attend related arts and/or intervention classes. Related arts teachers design most 6th grade courses as 9-week offerings. This allows students to experience as many different areas as possible working toward the goal of their focusing on 1-2 specific areas during their 8th grade year.
Fundamental to our philosophy and mission, we believe leadership is developed through the heart of a servant; we believe servant leaders first identify needs within their community and then contribute to the development of plans from which those needs are met; and, we believe that MCMS students can and will grow into individuals who will make our community, our nation, and our world a better place for all.
I invite you to communicate with your student’s teachers, school counselors, and our administrative team on a regular basis. We at Mill Creek Middle School are anxious to partner with our school families in working to provide an environment of excellence that supports and nurtures student learning at the highest level. Go Mavericks!
Mr. Jared Grindstaff, MCMS Principal
